Overheated clutch components may increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, damage to other nearby components can result in debris falling onto the road or a loss of drive, increasing the risk of a crash.
The clutch pressure plate for vehicles equipped with a manual transmission may overheat and fracture, leading to a fire hazard and the risk of fragments of the related parts being spread onto the road as a road hazard. This increases the risk of an accident.
You must contact and visit a Jeep dealership to perform recall repairs on your Jeep vehicle. The schedule for Jeep to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during April, 2023. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Jeep dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Jeep recall designation is 19A.
