The front seat belts have pretensioners at the buckles that deploy to secure an occupant during a crash. These pretensioners may explode during deployment, which can spray metal debris inside the cabin, resulting in occupant injury.

You must contact and visit a Hyundai or Genesis dealership to perform recall repairs on your Hyundai or Genesis vehicle. The schedule for Hyundai to initially contact known owners of affected vehicles begins during December, 2022. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Hyundai or Genesis dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
