If the vacuum powered brake assist system fails to operate, the electronic brake control module (EBCM) has a software error that can allow the loss of power brake assist. The loss of brake assist would result in extended stopping distances and more difficulty braking which can lead to a crash.

Recall repairs on your Buick vehicle must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in August, 2022. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
