An exploding seat belt pretensioner can project metal fragments into the vehicle, striking vehicle occupants and resulting in injury.
The front seat belt buckles of the vehicle contain pretensioner, which are devices that deploy in an accident to secure passengers and prevent injury. These pretensioner may explode unexpectedly in a crash, spraying metal fragments in the cabin, resulting in injury to occupants.
You must contact and visit a Hyundai dealership to perform recall repairs on your Hyundai vehicle. The schedule for Hyundai to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during September, 2022. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Hyundai dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
