The tie rods may separate from the housing, causing a loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash.
The steering tie rod ends may have an improper fit in their housings, causing them to separate when excessive pressure and torque is applied. This would lead to a loss of steering control increasing risk of a crash.
You must contact and visit a Subaru dealership to perform recall repairs on your Subaru vehicle. The schedule for Subaru to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during February, 2022. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Subaru dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Subaru recall designation is WRL-21.
