The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may misidentify a tire with low air pressure. This is due to improper sensor calibration. If directed to the wrong tire, the actual affected low tire may not be inflated properly, increasing risk of a crash.

Recall repairs on your Volkswagen must be performed by a Volkswagen dealership. Volkswagen will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in June, 2021. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Volkswagen dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Volkswagen recall number is 44R2.

How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
