Suspension & Steering
A detached tie rod ball joint can cause a loss of steering control, and increase the risk of a crash.
The tie rod ball joint fastener was not tightened properly, which can result in the ball joint detaching from the steering knuckle. If detached, there would be a loss of steering control and increased risk of a crash.
Recall repairs on your Nissan must be performed by a Nissan dealership. Nissan will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in March, 2021. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Nissan dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
