A fractured rear coil spring can affect vehicle handling. Additionally, a broken rear coil spring may separate from the vehicle and potentially become a road hazard. Either scenario can increase the risk of a crash.
The rear coil springs may fracture due to contacting the rear toe link brackets. This would cause the springs to possibly become s road hazard, and can cause reduced safe handling of the vehicle.
You must visit a Lincoln dealership to perform recall repairs on your Lincoln vehicle. Lincoln's schedule to contact known owners of affected vehicles begins during November, 2020. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Lincoln dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
