The seat mounted air bags may deploy inadvertently or be prevented from deploying due to a concern with wiring to these components becoming chafed on the seat cushion frame edge. If the air bag deploys unexpectedly or doesn't deploy as needed in an accident, there is an increased risk of occupant injury.
