There may be a loss of driving power as well as an inability to secure the vehicle stopped in "park" gear due to worn spines of the shaft within the Power Transfer Unit (PTU). This can allow the vehicle to roll away, and can prevent driving motive power, resulting in an accident.

You must contact and visit a Jeep dealership to perform recall repairs on your Jeep vehicle. The schedule for Jeep to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during July, 2020. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Jeep dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
