The driver's frontal air bag is equipped with a non-azide air bag inflator (NADI) that does not contain phase stabilized ammonium nitrate propellant, which allows the inflators to absorb moisture resulting in the air bag deploying improperly in an accident. Dealers will replace the driver frontal air bag inflator with an alternative inflator when parts become available free of charge to resolve the concern.
