A blank main display will not show important information like vehicle speed or fuel level. Driving with an inoperative display can increase the risk of a crash.
The main display of the instrument cluster may go blank due to an electrical short circuit. Gauges affected include the speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge. If the display goes blank, important vehicle information will become unavailable, increasing risk of an accident.
Recall repairs on your Toyota must be performed by a Toyota dealership. Toyota will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in February, 2020. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Toyota dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Toyota recall designations are 19TA21 and 19TB21.
