For vehicles equipped with 3.0L Eco Diesel engines, the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler may crack and allow pre-heated vaporized coolant to enter the EGR system. This can cause the mixture to combust inside the intake manifold, resulting in a fire.

Recall repairs on your Ram truck must be performed by a Ram dealership. Chrysler notified known owners of affected vehicles beginning in December, 2019. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ram dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Chrysler recall number is VB1.
