Exhaust & Emissions
An unexpected loss of power while driving can increase the risk of a crash.
The positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve may come apart, with pieces of the valve entering the engine. This can create a loss of engine power while driving. Dealers will inspect and if needed replace the PCV valve free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recall repairs on your Subaru must be performed by a Subaru dealership. Subaru will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in December, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Subaru dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Subaru recall number is WUP-01.
