Oxidation may occur on the cable that connects the Passenger Occupant Detection System, which can make the system software mistakenly detect a malfunction which causes the passenger frontal air bag to become disabled and not deploy as needed in an accident. Dealers will update the air bag control unit software free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recall repairs on your Audi must be performed by a Audi dealership. Audi will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in September, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Audi dealerships.
