For vehicles modified by Braun Corporation, the steering shaft extension installed during vehicle modification may fracture, resulting in the loss of steering ability. Dealers will replace the steering shaft extensions free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recall repairs on your Toyota must be performed by a Toyota dealership. Braun Corporation will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in July, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Toyota dealerships, or Braun customer service at 1-800-488-0359. Dealers will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.

How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many vehicles are affected by the recall? How complex is the problem to fix? How many different parts are involved in the repair? Are the repair parts available? How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
