Load Carrying Capacity Label Provides Incorrect Load Capacity Information

Recall Details

The load carrying capacity modification label may list improper vehicle information, and lead to the vehicle being overloaded. This can cause an accident. Dealers will provide a corrected label to install in place of the original one free of charge to resolve the concern.

What Should You Do?

Recall repairs on your Toyota must be performed by a Toyota dealership. Toyota will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in August, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Toyota dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Toyota Camry, Corolla, Rav4, Sienna, and Yaris iA vehicles equipped with factory-installed floor mats. The load carrying capacity modification label may be incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
An incorrect label may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
SET will notify owners and provide a corrected label for placement over the inaccurate label, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 27, 2019. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371. SET's number for this recall is SET19A.
