The passenger frontal air bag inflator may rupture on deployment, causing metal fragments to come through the air bag and injure occupants. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator free of charge to resolve the concern. Note this is the second time the passenger frontal air bag inflators are being replaced on affected vehicles, as the previously replaced parts are suspect for defect as well.

Recall repairs on your Honda or Acura must be performed by a Honda or Acura dealership, respectively. American Honda will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in August, 2019. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Honda or Acura dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
