Emergency Locking Retractor For Driver's Seat Belt Does Not Lock Properly In An Accident

Recall Details

The Emergency Locking Retractor function of the driver's seat belt may not function as designed, increasing risk of injury in a crash. Dealers will replace the driver's seat belt assembly free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The driver's seat belt utilizes an Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) that locks the seat belt to secure the driver in an accident. For affected vehicles, the ELR may not lock as designed, which increases risk of injury.
