Engine Stalls From Lack Of Fuel Pressure

Recall Details

During high altitude, high temperature or driving conditions which require more vehicle power, the engine may stall due to a loss of fuel pressure from the fuel pump. Dealers will replace the fuel pump free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

A problem with the fuel pump that supplies fuel to the engine while driving may cause the engine to stall while driving, increasing risk of a crash. This concern is more likely in operating conditions such as when needing a lot of vehicle power in high altitude or in high temperatures.
