The power relay assembly (PRA) for the plug in hybrid functionality has a main relay within it that may have increased resistance, creating overheating of the PRA and possible ignition of the rear seat due to its proximity to the PRA. This increases risk of a vehicle fire.

Recall repairs on your Hyundai must be performed by a Hyundai dealership. Hyundai will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in November, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Hyundai dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Hyundai recall number is 178.
