The steering column of the vehicle which connects the steering wheel to the steering gear may be improperly welded and can allow the steering column to separate. If this occurs, the driver will lose the ability to steer the vehicle, which can cause an accident.

Recall repairs on your Kia must be performed by a Kia dealership. Kia will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in October, 2018. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Kia dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
