Passenger Frontal Air Bag May Not Deploy In A Crash

Recall Details

The ring plate that secures the air bag cushion to the passenger frontal air bag assembly may fail, resulting in improper or ineffective deployment of the passenger frontal air bag in an accident. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag module free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The passenger frontal air bag may not deploy as needed in a crash due to a part inside the assembly that may fail. This would increase risk of occupant injury.
