Cracked Sill Panel After Left Hand Impact Ruptures Fuel Lines

Recall Details

The left side inner sill panel may crack on impact during an accident, causing the fuel lines to rupture and leak. Dealers will inspect the vehicle's left inner sill panel. If cracks are found, Jaguar will repurchase the vehicle and supply the customer with a new vehicle free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

In the event of an accident striking the left side of the vehicle, the left hand inner sill panel of the body can crack, rupturing underfloor fuel lines. This would cause a fuel leak and a fire hazard.

What Should You Do?

Recall repairs on your Jaguar must be performed by a Jaguar dealership. Jaguar will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in April, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Jaguar dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
