Side Air Bags Fail To Inflate Properly In An Accident

Recall Details

The side curtain air bags may not inflate fully in an accident that requires their deployment. The one affected vehicle was inspected free of charge, and the concern is resolved.

For one unit in operation, the side curtain air bags may not inflate properly in a crash. This would result in increased risk of injury during an accident.

What Should You Do?

Recall repairs on your Ram truck must be performed by a Ram dealership. Chrysler notified the owner of the single affected vehicle in January, 2017. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ram dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
