Trailer Brake Lights Stay Illuminated

Recall Details

The accessory tow hitch trailer hitch module may allow the brake lights of an attached trailer to stay illuminated constantly. Dealers will replace the affected accessory trailer hitch wiring harness free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

When using a trailer hooked up to the vehicle accessory trailer hitch wiring harness, the brake lights for the trailer may stay illuminated. This could mislead other drivers and would increase risk of a crash.

What Should You Do?
