Fuel Lines Under Body Chafe And Leak

Recall Details

The fuel lines under the vehicle floor may rub on the under floor shield and body and cause chafing, resulting in a possible fuel leak. Dealers will inspect the fuel line for abrasions and replace them as necessary, installing additional clips free of charge to resolve the concern.

What Should You Do?

Recall repairs on your Jaguar must be performed by a Jaguar dealership. Jaguar will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in December, 2016. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Jaguar dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. Summary
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Jaguar XF vehicles manufactured May 22, 2013, to June 15, 2015 and equipped with 2.0L GTDi engines. The affected vehicles may have insufficient clearance between the underfloor fuel delivery lines and the under shield and body allowing the fuel lines to chafe, possibly resulting in a fuel leak.
Consequence
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel line for abrasions, replacing it as necessary and install additional clips, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 19, 2016. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J077.
