Brakes
If any of the front brake caliper, wheel hub or stabilizer clamp attaching bolts loosen or detach, the related components would also become loose and may detach possibly making the vehicle unstable and reducing the braking capability. These conditions would increase the risk of a crash.
Front wheel and brake components may not be properly secured and tightened. This could result in loss of braking or loss of vehicle control. Dealers will inspect the affected bolts for proper torque and replace any loose bolts free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recall repairs on your Subaru must be performed by a Subaru dealership. Subaru began notifying known owners of affected vehicles in August, 2016. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Subaru dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Subaru recall number is WTE-66.
