Manual Transmission Clutch Fails To Operate

Recall Details

The manual transmission clutch diaphragm spring may fracture and fail resulting in the clutch failing to operate and keeping the driver from being able to shift gears. Dealers will install a clutch pedal limiter and a clutch pedal switch free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The clutch for manual transmission equipped vehicles may fail to operate properly due to a fracture of the clutch diaphragm spring. This could result in an inability to shift gears, and result in the vehicle not driving as expected, increasing risk of a crash.
