The clockspring assembly may have become contaminated with dust and cause the air bag circuit to fail for the driver's frontal air bag. Dealers will replace the clockspring, wheel back cover and column shroud free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recalls on your Jeep must be performed by a Jeep dealership. Chrysler will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is unavailable as of the time of this writing). If you do receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Jeep dealerships. How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
