Trailer Brake Lights May Not Operate When Hooked Up To Vehicle

Recall Details

The trailer tow light control module may not operate properly and may prevent trailer brake lights from operating when hooked up.  Dealers will replace the trailer tow light control module free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The brake lights of a trailer may not operate as designed when hooked up to the harness of the vehicle due to a software failure of the lighting control module. This could increase risk of a crash.
