A loss of power steering assist may increase the risk of a crash.
The power steering system may fail, resulting in extra effort being required to steer the vehicle. Dealers will replace the electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear assembly free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recalls on your Buick must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify owners of affected vehicles (a timetable for this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The General Motors recall number is 21510.
