Hood Opens While Driving

Recall Details

The hood latch may fail and the hood may open unexpectedly while driving. Dealers will first inspect and attempt to clean and lubricate the hood safety and lock systems. If this does not correct the concern, the latch will be replaced with a new current style part. All repairs will be performed free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The hood may open unexpectedly while driving due to a failure of the hood latch. This would result in reduced visibility and increase risk of an accident.
