Driver And Front Seat Passenger Seat Mounted Air Bag Inflators Rupture

Recall Details

The driver's and passenger front seat mounted air bags have inflators that may rupture when deploying the air bags during an accident. Dealers will replace the side air bag modules free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The inflators that deploy the driver's and passenger front seat mounted air bags in the event of an accident may rupture and spray metal fragments onto vehicle occupants. This can increase risk of serious injury or death.
