If the seat frame is not welded in the correct places, the seat may not perform as intended, and in the event of a crash, the seat occupant could be at an increased risk of injury.
Defective welds in the left lower seat frame of the vehicle's third row can result in a lack of structural integrity of the seat. This can result in occupant injury in a crash. Dealers will inspect and replace as necessary the left lower third row seat frame free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recalls on your General Motors vehicle must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify owners of affected vehicles (a time table of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local General Motors dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The General Motors recall number is 21930.
