Drive Train
If the drive shaft detaches from the rear differential, it may strike the fuel tank and result in a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
The drive shaft may separate from the rear differential due to the fasteners not being secure. Dealers will inspect the fastening nuts and tighten or replace them as necessary free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recalls on your Subaru must be performed by a Subaru dealership. Subaru will notify owners of affected vehicles in December, 2015. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Subaru dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Subaru recall number is WQV-57.
