Panoramic Roof May Detach From Vehicle

Recall Details

Due to the use of an incorrect primer, the adhesive securing the panoramic roof assembly may fail, causing the roof to detach from the vehicle. Dealers will apply the correct primer free of charge to resolve the concern.

What Should You Do?

Recalls on your Land Rover must be performed by a Land Rover dealership. Land Rover began notifying owners of affected vehicles starting in August 2015. If you did not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Land Rover dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Land Rover recall number is P065.

Summary
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Land Rover LR4 vehicles manufactured August 15, 2012, to September 18, 2012. Due to the use of an incorrect primer, the panoramic roof adhesive may not adequately secure the roof assembly.
Consequence
The insufficient bond may result in the panoramic roof assembly detaching from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will apply the correct primer, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 7, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P065.
