If the side curtain air bag does not properly inflate, it can affect the performance of the air bag in the event of a vehicle crash, increasing the risk of occupant injury.
The side curtain airbags use inflator tubes to move the gases that inflate the side airbags from the inflator to the airbag. These vehicles are being recalled because the inflator tubes may have been incorrectly manufactured. If this is the case the side curtain airbags may not deploy as expected, increasing the risk of personal injury. Dealers will inspect and replace the left and/or right side curtain airbags to correct this concern.
Honda will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning January 9, 2015. If you don't receive notification in a timely manner and believe you should have, please contact your dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call. The Honda recall numbers are JN0, JN1, and JN3.
