Negative pressure could cause the fuel tank to crack resulting in a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
Spider webs may be found restricting the evaporative canister vent hose, which can result in the fuel tank cracking from negative pressure build up. Dealers will replace the vent line with one that will prevent restriction free of charge to resolve the concern. Any hoses found that have webs in them will result in dealers also replacing the fuel tank.
Suzuki notified owners of affected vehicles starting in August 2014. You can check with your dealer to see if your vehicle is involved in this program. It is helpful to have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on hand when you contact them. The Suzuki recall number is VG.
