If the seat belt anchor bolt is not attached as designed, that increases the risk of injury in the event of a vehicle crash.
The anchor nut that is welded on to the weld nut plate that secures the rear seat belt mounting bolt may not be properly manufactured. This can result in the rear seat belt not securing an occupant in a crash. Dealers will inspect and repair the seat belt anchor attachment as necessary free of charge to resolve the concern.
Nissan notified owners of affected vehicles starting in July 2014. You can check with your dealer to see if your vehicle is involved in this program. It is helpful to have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on hand when you contact them.
