If the spring breaks, the seat may not lock in position. In the event of a vehicle crash, the seat could move increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupant.
The springs used on the driver's seat adjustment rails can break. As a result the seat many not properly lock in position. In the event of a crash the driver's seat could move, increasing the risk of personal injury. Dealers will inspect the affected seat rails and replace them as necessary.
As of this writing Toyota has not released a notification schedule for this recall. If you don't receive notification in a timely manner and believe you should have, please contact your Toyota dealer for further instruction. They may ask for your vehicle identification number (VIN), so please have it handy when you call.
