Engine
An engine stall without warning while driving may lead to a loss of motive power, a loss of power-assisted braking and a loss of power-assisted steering. Each of these conditions may increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
The fuel pump operaton is controlled by an electronic module that may shut down causing the fuel pump to stop and the engine to stall. If the engine stalls while driving, power steering and braking assist will be diminished. These systems will still function but will require much greater effort, increasing the risk of a crash. Jaguar dealers will install an additional wring harness to the in-tank fuel pump to correct this concern.
Jaguar will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning on or before January 18, 2013. If you are experiencing and engine stalling condition, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It’s helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call. The Jaguar recall number is J028.
