Front Suspension Bolts Not Secure

Recall Details

Bolts that attach the front left and right damper bracket to the front suspension may have been left loose, along with spindle nuts on Pilot and Accord V6 vehicles. This can result in noise, or loss of vehicle steering. Dealers will inspect and replace any loose front damper bracket bolts or spindle nuts as needed free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

Some bolts that secure certain front suspension components may not be tightened properly. This can result in loss of steering, or excessive noise.

What Should You Do?

Honda notified owners of affected vehicles starting in December 2010. You can check with your dealer to see if your vehicle is involved in this program. It is helpful to have your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on hand when you contact them.
