In the event of severe impact to the front wheels, a snap ring on the steering shaft could become disengaged. If this occurs, over time the steering shaft may become disconnected, resulting in loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash.

You must contact and visit a Lexus dealership to perform recall repairs on your Lexus vehicle. The schedule for Lexus to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during August, 2010. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Lexus dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
