IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE PASSENGER FRONT AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT TRAJECTORY MIGHT BE AFFECTED. THE FASTENERS COULD POSSIBLY COME OUT OF THE STEERING COLUMN POSITIONING BRACKET INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The fasteners securing the passenger air bag and the steering shaft positioning bracket may not have been tightened correctly. The passenger side air bag may not deploy as designed. Also, the steering column may become loose, increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect the fasteners in question, replace any that are missing, and properly torque all affected fasteners to the proper specification. No letters will be sent as all affected vehicles have been repaired.
We at RepairPal have designated this as a low priority recall. The manufacturer has indicated that all the affected vehicles have been repaired. If you would like more information, please contact your Susuki dealer. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
