Nissan is recalling 2009 Altima models for failing to comply with federal safety standards concerning side impact protection. The vehicles may have been manufactured with an out-of-specification weld on the door assembly. All affected vehicles have been bought back from the dealerships; no vehicles were sold to the public.

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
