POOR ENGINE STARTING AND HESITATION MAY RESULT. OTHER ENGINE PERFORMANCE ISSUES MAY ALSO RESULT INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The fuel pump motor may not have uniform electrical contacts, causing the fuel pump not to produce the fuel pressure needed for the fuel injection system. This condition could cause hard starting or engine hesitation. Engine hesitation or other performance issues may increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the fuel pump subassembly free of charge. The recall began September 15, 2008.
