Suspension & Steering
IF THE BOLT IS LOOSE, THE DRIVER WILL HEAR A RATTLING NOISE AND NOTICE VIBRATION. IF THE BOLT COMES OFF COMPLETELY, THE DRIVER CAN EXPERIENCE DIFFICULTY IN CONTROLLING THE DIRECTION OF THE VEHICLE WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
The front suspension mounting bolts may not be torqued properly. This may result in a knocking noise and eventually a loss of steering control. Dealers will torque the front suspension bolts. The Nissan recall number is PB037. This recall began on July 2, 2007.
We at RepairPal have designated this a medium priority recall; this would change to high if front suspension noises became apparent. Please contact your Nissan dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
