AN IMPROPERLY POSITIONED TURN SIGNAL LENS MAY REDUCE THE INTENSITY OF THE TURN SIGNAL ILLUMINATION, REDUCING ITS VISIBILITY TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, WHICH MAY RESULT IN A CRASH.
On some models, the inner bezels of the headlamps were not assembled properly, so the turn signals may not be positioned correctly. This may cause the intensity of the turn signals to be reduced. Reduced visibility of the turn signals may increase the risk of a crash. Dealers will replace the left and right headlamp assemblies. The recall began June 26, 2006. The Hyundai recall number is 075.
We at RepairPal have designated this a high priority recall; the front turn signals may not be as bright as they should be. Please contact your Hyundai dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
