The combination of a manual airbag on/off switch to disable the front passenger airbag and no child restraint lower anchorage system in the front passenger seat does not meet federal safety standards. Dealers will remove the manual airbag on/off switch, replace the owners manual, and affix a new sun visor air bag warning label to correct this condition. The Toyota recall number is 70A.
Toyota will notify owners of affected vehicles beginning in January, 2007. There are no symptoms related to this recall. If don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
